The Lithuanian Basketball Federation (LKF) and the international information and communication
technology company Huawei have signed a cooperation agreement, according to which the company
has become the main sponsor of the Lithuanian Basketball Federation and national teams, LKF writes
in a press release.
The telecommunications company is one of the TOP three largest smartphone manufacturers and
supplies its products to more than 150 countries around the world. Huawei joins the LKF supporters'
circle after a five-year hiatus.
"We are always sick of the victories, achievements and progress of the countries in which we
operate. In this extremely uncertain period, sport is experiencing difficulties around the world, so we
are happy to contribute to its active promotion. We are very much looking forward to the start of the
new basketball season, and we wish the Lithuanian basketball community the greatest success in it,
”said Ricky Chen, Huawei's CEO in the Baltics.
The company has strongly contributed to the organization of men's and women's basketball teams,
the Huawei Baltic Cup youth tournaments, and from the upcoming 2020-2021 season will also
become a nominal sponsor of the Women's League.
